T.W. Woods is also celebrating the completion of a multi-million dollar redevelopment that enables us to perform large, small and complex tasks to top levels of cost- efficiency and precision. This has involved the construction of an entire new 1200m factory housing state-of-the-art painting, blasting and plasma cutting facilities (and which als frees up considerable space on our main facility for further fabrication layout)
We have invested in our staff and our facilities to expand our commitment to the Australian market as well as being a world-class exporter to projects throughout the Western Pacific, North America, Canada, China and the Middle East.
As well as our long-established expertise in the mining and energy sectors, the company has also become a valued supplier to the water treatment and materials handling industry because of its expanded capacity to process specialized metals and manufacture complex shapes required for special-purpose tanks, silos and pressure vessels.
One of our major strengths is the fact that we have great staff loyalty, great staff skills and are comprehensively equipped to handle complete projects on-site. We don’t have to send work outside as frequently as other companies so we can meet tight deadlines and maintain high quality control.
The company – headed by brothers Tom and Glenn Woods - places a high value on staff training and retention, having 10 staff members (in a workforce of 40) with more than 10 years service and several with 20 or more years’ service. Tom Wood’s son, Jamie, recently became the third generation of the Woods family to join the company, which employs apprentices every year.
