TW Woods proudly participated as a member company in the HunterNet Future Leaders Program, a premier initiative designed to cultivate leadership talent within the Hunter Region. This year’s program provided rising professionals with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to develop essential skills in leadership, innovation, and strategic management. TW Woods’ Team brought together an impressive mix of talent, including Sergio Fresco from ATB Morton, Simon Turner from Port of Newcastle, Brent Gooley from McLanahan Corporation, Neil Hitchenor from Ampcontrol, and Danica Smith from Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator (HVCCC). Under the mentorship of Andy Olrich, a 2022 Future Leaders Program alum from Hunter Water, the team set out to assess TW Woods’ current operations and develop a strategic plan for resilience and futureproofing in the evolving economic landscape.
Throughout the program, Team Brightseed examined TW Woods’ business processes, looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and adaptability. Their efforts produced several innovative ideas and actionable initiatives that TW Woods’ management team is actively considering. These suggestions reflect the team’s forward-thinking approach, crafted with a keen awareness of contemporary challenges and near-future economic shifts.
The program wrapped up with a celebratory gala in October at Noah’s on the Beach. The gala not only showcased the hard work and strategic insights developed by the teams but also honoured the participants’ commitment to advancing their industries. TW Woods is especially grateful to see the impact of Team Brightseed’s contributions, which provided fresh perspectives on how the company can evolve to stay competitive and resilient.
As TW Woods continues to foster leadership within the Hunter Region, our involvement in the HunterNet Future Leaders Program reaffirms our commitment to supporting the professional growth of emerging leaders. We look forward to seeing how these future leaders apply the skills and insights gained from the program to shape their industries and contribute to a strong, future-ready workforce in the Hunter Region.
